Deep Fried Pickles with Mustard

Deep Fried Pickles with Mustard

On Superbowl Sunday, my family and I went to Fairmont Hot Springs to soak for the day.  It was a blast but at the end of a day full of soaking, running up the 3-4 stories of stairs and then flying down the waterslide, we were ravenous.  I think we were especially hungry because you can't bring your own food into the pool, so the only thing to eat is the garbage they make at the snack bar.

So, to remedy this, we drove to Philipsburg, MT to hit up the Sweet Shoppe and Doe Brothers restaurant across the street.  After shopping for candy for 20 minutes, I needed something salty and good to eat.  These deep fried pickles with mustard really did the trick.  Although, I think in a perfect world a deep fried pickle would be hot and crunchy on the outside, but somehow, magically cold on the inside.  Dear Science, please figure that out.

The owners of that place are super nice! They used to buy Big Dipper for their restaurant. :)
