Great Big Bowl of Fruit
So, here's the deal. My kids are fruit junkies. I'm pretty sure they'd be content to eat only fruit for the rest of their lives and any day during which they didn't get any fruit, you definitely hear about it. As a result, when we go out to breakfast on the weekends, we usually get some sort of fruit bowl to tide them over. Now, if you are a parent in a similar predicament (or just somebody who's always ordering fruit bowls) then you know that the fruit bowl can be a real mixed bag. For example, at IHOP you get like 4 pieces of melon and maybe some orange and it's all mush and it costs about $7.
Well, at The Shack you get a gigantic bowl of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and random other fruit and it's $6.75. It's the BEST!
Now, if you are like me, then you have a real love/hate going on with The Shack. Sure, the food is fantastic, but by the time it gets to you, you have a long white beard. I've finally just decided that it's worth it and that I need to suck it up. Also, don't go at 10am-noon on Saturday/Sunday, dummy. If you have kids, then you are already up early, hit it at 9am and be stoked. Or, call in sick and go on Wednesday. Boosh! You'll be thanking me if they are running the Chicken Fried Steak with Jalapeno Gravy special that day.
